Apple iPad Event 2024
The first Apple of the year showcased the latest iPads due to be released this year. It’s been two years since the last refresh, the line-up was long overdue for an update.
iPad Pro
The new iPad Pro got the biggest upgrade with its OLED display, making it perfect for content consumption and colour-accurate display of work. The iPad is also equipped with the latest M4 chip giving it more power than its predecessor. The M4 chip comes with a 9-core CPU which consists of three performance and six efficiency cores, and plus a 10-core GPU that allows hardware-accelerated ray tracing on Apple tablets. The iPad Pro is the thinnest device made since the iPod Nano measuring 5.1mm thick.
iPad Air
Although staying with the Liquid Retina display, the iPad Air gets a 13-inch version alongside the 11-inch display version. It comes in two new colours, pleasant blue and purple alongside starlight and space grey. The iPad Air also gets an M2 chip upgrade giving it a 50% faster performance than its predecessor.
Apple Pencil Pro
Apple unveiled the Apple Pencil Pro which Apple states is the most versatile stylus ever produced by Apple. The Apple Pencil Pro is only capable with the latest iPad Pros and iPad Airs.
