Samsung Unpacked 2024
Samsung Unpacked sees the company unveil its latest flagship products from the expected Samsung Galaxy S24 series line-up with the latest specs. This year sees the company unleash its new AI tool called the Galaxy AI. Here is what was announced at this year’s Samsung Unpacked event.
Samsung Galaxy S24, Plus, and Ultra
As expected, the Galaxy S24 line-up was unveiled with the latest specifications and it’s the first Galaxy smartphone to have AI integrated into it. The Galaxy S24 retains the sane aluminium frame from the Galaxy S23 and inherits most of the design features from the Galaxy S23.
The S24 offers 256GB and 512GB storage options with 8GB of RAM. The Galaxy S24 Plus offers the same storage options but offers more RAM at 12GB. The S24 Ultra continues to offer 12GB of RAM however offers more storage options with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. All three variants retain OLED displays with the S24 at 6.2-inch, S24 Plus at 6.7-inch, and S24 Ultra at 6.8-inch. Both S24 Plus and Ultra support display resolutions of 1440p while the S24 still only offers a 1080p screen with all three variants offering a 120Hz refresh rate.
All three variants offer a triple camera array with the S24 and S24 Plus sharing the same specs as the S23. Both S24 and S24 Plus offer a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, and a 10-megapixel telephoto with 3x optical zoom with a 12-megapixel selfie camera. The S24 Ultra offers an improvement in its camera set-up with a 200-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera.
The S24 line-up is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which improves performance over the predecessor and powers the on-device generative AI capabilities of the Galaxy S24.

Galaxy AI
The biggest announcement of Samsung Unpacked 2024 was the unveiling of Samsung’s new AI tool which is included in the Galaxy S24 series. The Galaxy AI enables barrier-free communication with the S24 series. Galaxy AI will be able to translate in real-time without the need to download a third-party app or use an entirely different device via its live call and text translation. There are several other AI features built in the S24 series from photo manipulation to searching for items from a photo.

Galaxy Ring
Samsung ended the event with the announcement of the Galaxy Ring which looks to compete against the Oura Ring. The Galaxy Ring looks to empower more people to manage their health and change their approach to everyday wellness at home. There was nothing much announced about the Galaxy Ring but it looks like the company is building an ecosystem between its smartphones, laptops, and wearables that can go toe to toe with Apple.
