Honda Motocompacto: Electric Scooter in a Suitcase

Honda has released a new electric bike called the Honda Motocompacto that folds into a suitcase that can be carried from your car or home. The Honda Motocompacto pays homage to the Motocompo scooters from the 1980s.

Specification

The Honda Motocompacto has a 6.8Ah battery that provides a 12-mile range and will take three and a half hours to charge back up. The Motocompacto is capable of a top speed of 15mph.

The Motocompacto can be folded into a suitcase that weighs 19kg which can be stored in a car boot or left in an office bike store. The Motocompacto is designed with safety, durability and security in mind. The whole bike uses a robust heat-treated aluminium frame and wheels keep the scooter rigid and light. Bright LED headlights, taillight, and side reflectors keep the Motocompacto visible during night rides. For security, there is a welded steel lock loop on the kickstand that is compatible with most bike locks.

Price

There is confirmation of whether the Motocompacto will be available in the UK at the moment but will be available in the US. Motocompacto will cost $995 which is £788 under the current exchange rate.
