PlayStation 5 has been unveiled
After endless speculations and leaks, the PlayStation 5 has been formally announced with images of what the console will look like and the initial games that will be released around the launch of the PlayStation 5.

Console
Sony announced two versions of the console, one with a disc tray and another being a digital version without a disc tray/Blu-ray player. The disc-less version of the console will solely run off digital download, so you will need to buy all your games from the Playstation Store and keep them on the console’s SSD, external hard drive or in the cloud. So far Sony hasn’t announced any hardware differences inside the two versions of the console. Alongside the console announcement, Sony has announced accessories to go along with the new look PlayStation 5. A variety of accessories will be available such as headsets, Dual sense Charging Station, a media remote, and HD camera that will complement the PlayStation 5 design.
Hardware
As the PlayStation 5 will be the next generation console that means new gaming hardware inside. The Playstation 5 will have an AMD Zen 2-based CPU with 8 cores at 3.5 GHz and a 10.28 TFLOP custom RDNA 2 GPU that has 37 CU’s at 2.23 GHz. The console uses a custom 825GB SSD and 16GB GDDR6 memory. With a 4K UHD Blu-Ray drive in the regular PlayStation 5 console, however, you will be able to stream/buy movies from the store if you purchase the PlayStation 5 digital version.
