Best Laptop for Creative Professionals?
Asus has recently unveiled a laptop built for ‘creative professionals’ and is targeting the Macbook Pro that traditional creatives normally go with. The Asus ProArt StudioBook features a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i9 processor, 32GB RAM and 1TB SDD. The laptop also comes with a Quadro RTX 6000 with 24GB of GDDR6 RAM allowing the laptop to breeze through graphics-heavy tasks. The ProArt StudioBook comes with a 15.6-inch display that has a 120Hz 4K display with 100 per cent Adobe RGB and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The laptops I/O features three USB-C ports each one with Thunderbolt 3. The laptop features a 90Wh battery that will help keep the laptop running for a reasonable time, however as the laptop is paired with a 4K display the battery wouldn’t last you for that long.
With the high tech components packed inside, this means the machine will produce a lot of heat when running high demanding tasks. In order to prevent the machine from overheating, Asus has incorporated most of the components behind the screen using their new cooling system. This makes the laptop top-heavy, which they have counter-balanced the laptop with a weight body preventing the laptop from topping over.
Overall Asus has produced a laptop that is worthy of the ProArt name with its high spec components and 100 per cent colour accurate display, the laptop is ideal for creatives and will provide stiff competition with the Macbook Pro. With all these high tech components such as a 4K display, high-end processor and RTX graphics card, the laptop is guaranteed to be expensive which means that this laptop is truly for professionals as the high price will not be suitable for the everyday user.
